Dr. Azodi's interests include international relations theory, nuclear non-proliferation, U.S.-Iranian relations and Iran's nuclear and foreign policies. His doctoral dissertation focuses on the evolution of Iran's nuclear program since its inception in 1950s.
He is a Professorial Lecturer of International Affairs at the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in political science, international affairs, and Iranian foreign policy and national security strategy.
Dr. Azodi's analyses have appeared in Columbia University’s Journal of International Affairs, Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, Arms Control Association, Center for Strategic and International Studies, and the Foreign Policy magazine. He has been quoted by international media, including the New York Times, Newsweek, Spiegel, Forbes, The Hill and Voice of America.
He received his B.A. & M.A. in International Relations from the Elliott School of International Affairs, the George Washington University, and PhD in Government and International Politics from University of South Florida.
